SHENN

Terms of Use

Draft of 3 October 2026. Effective when the owner publishes a reviewed version.

Draft under review. These terms were written from how the Shenn software works today. The owner has not yet reviewed them, and points marked owner to confirm are open. They are not legal advice and have not been reviewed by a lawyer.

What Shenn is

Shenn is an educational tool. It answers questions by retrieving passages from a library of traditional medical texts, modern reference works and health podcasts, and asking a language model to summarize them with citations. It also offers curated reading, protocol templates and a journal.

What Shenn is not

Shenn is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a qualified practitioner. Answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and a cited source can itself be wrong. Herbs, supplements and fasting can harm, and can interact with medicines. Talk to a qualified practitioner before acting on anything you read here, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.

Who may use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Owner to confirm the age threshold. During the pre-launch period, access to the app is by invitation.

Your account

Acceptable use

Do not use Shenn to break the law, to harm yourself or others, to try to get around rate limits or access controls, to scrape or bulk-download the library, or to pass off its answers as professional medical advice to others.

Content and sources

Availability and changes

Shenn is under active development. Features change, daily limits apply, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may change these terms; the date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Shenn is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Shenn and its operator are not liable for any loss or injury arising from use of the service or reliance on its content. Owner and legal counsel to confirm this section and any consumer-protection carve-outs that apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, unless the law where you live gives you protections that cannot be waived. Owner to confirm the jurisdiction.
